Business Card Designs and Feedback
Business Card Designs -
This is the first design idea I had for my business card, and I wanted to keep it simple. I chose to have the logo in the top corner, so I wouldn't take up a lot of space meaning I could fit everything else in nicely. The colour scheme for this plan, I wanted it to be the same as the logo, black and white, keeping it all simple where the colours work well together. Since I only wanted there to be two colours used, I though it was too plain with just the logo and text, so I added these lines coming from the bottom of the card. With the lines going up to the far left and the lover right corner, I think it makes the card a little more vibrant while also filling in empty space. Then the text has enough space to span across from the right side to the middle. This is my second plan for my business card, this time using a more vibrant colour scheme. I still chose to keep the design the same, just adding more colour than just black and white. This time adding grey for the background, making the text white to contrast the grey, then having the lines as green and blue. To me, I think all the colours contrast each other nicely compared to the simple black and white design before.
Business Card Demo Designs -
This is the first draft of my first design of a business card. I wanted to keep it as identical as possible with the tools available on Photoshop. The boarder I wanted to be a little thick, and keep all the colours the same as I mentioned before. I re-made my logo to make it work better with the background, giving it a neat look. The lines coming out of the bottom of the card, I think give it a better look than just plain black and white with some text and a logo, so I am glad I decided to keep that detail from the sketch.
This is my first draft of my second business card design. Since I had changed my logo so the text wasn't white anymore, I feel like the black and white text contrast each other nicely, especially with the grey background. The lines being very different colours to the background, I think makes the card look more vibrant and stand out. I do like this design, although I do not think this will be my final choice for my business card.
This is my first draft of my third and last business card design. The only thing that was changed with this draft, was the lines, they were originally going to be warped rather to being straight. But, I could not find a way to do this in photoshop, so I settled with keeping the lines the same as my previous drafts and sketches. The white with grey contrasts very well and stands out to catch the eye. Personally, think this may be the design I will choose as my final choice, I will then make a final design for this product. I gathered some feedback on my business card design, and these were the results:
From the feedback, what is good about my business card is the colour scheme, the design/ layout and the information provided. What is bad about my website is the mundane colour scheme and the fonts being small, a small error in the design and that more detail could be added. The changes I will make to my business are making the fonts bigger and changing the slight design error on the card. This feedback confirms that this is correct design to use for my final product of my business card.
