Business Card Designs and Feedback

Image
Business Card Designs - This is the first design idea I had for my business card, and I wanted to keep it simple. I chose to have the logo in the top corner, so I wouldn't take up a lot of space meaning I could fit everything else in nicely. The colour scheme for this plan, I wanted it to be the same as the logo, black and white, keeping it all simple where the colours work well together. Since I only wanted there to be two colours used, I though it was too plain with just the logo and text, so I added these lines coming from the bottom of the card. With the lines going up to the far left and the lover right corner, I think it makes the card a little more vibrant while also filling in empty space. Then the text has enough space to span across from the right side to the middle. This is my second plan for my business card, this time using a more vibrant colour scheme. I still chose to keep the design the same, just adding more colour than just black and white. This time adding grey ...

Logo Design - Existing Products and Personal Logo

Image
Existing Logo's -  Taking the 'Coca Cola' logo for a example, they have a very simple but effective colour scheme using only two colours. Since the 1950's onwards they have used only red and white in their logo aside from the 1990's where they included a branded bottle in the logo. The logo itself is very memorable due to its simplicity in design and with it being an appropriate design towards their intended target audience, making this a very unique brand logo. The 'KFC' logo is also a very good example as well as the 'Coca Cola' logo with its similar and simple colour scheme of black, white and red. As well as the simple colour scheme, the iconic face of 'KFC; being the founder himself Colonel Sanders. Just like 'Coca Cola', their logo has changed many times since the 1950's, and in 1991 started their iconic colour scheme. With having Colonel Sanders as the face of the brand since their beginning in the 1950's, it has allowed th...

CV and Importance

Image
A CV is the most important thing to help getting a job, especially in the Media Industry. A CV is a short document which gives you a chance to show a potential employer to see the best of what you have got. It sells your skills, your experience, and shows them that you're the right person for the job. It is also the first contact between you and employers which makes it very essential to be detailed and portray all your skills and experience in the best way. You can also tailor your CV to the job you would apply for, which would make it more likely to get an interview. What makes a good CV is being honest but showing all your skills and experience in the best way possible. Also tailoring your CV to fit requirements of the job you are applying for, if you applied for a part time job in a bar, you'd want to show your skills and experience working in that type of environment.    I think I would be suitable for this position as I have a lot of experience working with custome...

Media Inspirations

My main media inspiration is Quentin Tarantino for his unpredictable and interesting movies, from 'Pulp Fiction' to 'Kill Bill' and 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood'. He is a Film Director, a Screenwriter, a Producer, an Author, a Film Critic and Actor. He has directed big films such as 'Pulp Fiction', the 'Kill Bill' series and 'Reservoir Dogs'. His style of filming, especially in 'Pulp Fiction' inspires me because of how unpredictable each scene is. With 'Pulp Fiction', there are 3 different stories being told at the same time. His way of story telling in films inspires me for how different it is to other films. His career started while he was working at a Adult Movie Theatre where he later attended acting classes. He met several of his eventual collaborators while attending acting classes at James Best Theatre Company. Throughout the 1980's, Quentin Tarantino had a number of jobs, where he was a recruiter in the a...
